Anello Verde e zone periferiche |
Complimenti Vitoria!

GEO magazine in Spain publics a wide reportage about Vitoria-Gasteiz, with images and text of the undersigned.
It was a work in which, despite the urgency of the media, I could move with surgical precision and tranquility!
Vitoria-Gasteiz EUROPEAN GREEN CAPITAL was elected in 2012.
Honestly ... a great honor for the Basque town. A huge responsibility because of the sensitive issue related to the Environment, wing population growth and urban development, and the media coverage that this implies.
I think, as an author, photographer or simply traveller ... that the city has done VERYwell his duty.
250,000 inhabitants. Green spaces within 300 meters of every home. Thousands of trees planted and recovered. Centers for intrepretation of Fauna and Flora. A green Ring outside the city to contain speculation. An ecological Tram crossing the city. Centers for Research as Germoplasma, for the genetic study of native plants. Civic centers at low prices and incredible deals. Woods 4 km from the center! ....
Well ... a great work done ...
But like all good fruits, all this comes from a good seed far into the future.
30 years of governments have been able to find the agreement, AT LEAST on environmental policy!
So .. a common way, for the common good and people feel proud and involved in these initiatives
The personal perception I felt it was of a place where quality of life is very high, where the green is integrated as a reality and not as a forcing, where the dialogue between the citizen and institution is open and fluid.
Vitoria Congratulations!
